Max Gilkes

After surviving a classical music degree (emerging with a first class Bmus Hons…) Max’s career has encompassed writing, arranging, producing, he has been an artist, session musician, lecturer, examiner, as well as guitar player and vocalist.

Recently credits include arranging and directing the horns on the multi platinum Lily Allen album “Alright Still”, contributing the song “All Roads Lead to Home” to US wunderkind Alycia Lang’s forthcoming album “She Do That” on Universal. He co-wrote, played guitar, bass and was musical director on the reggae renaissance album “Survival of the Fattest” by Prince Fatty - shortly to be released on Mr Bongo records – and has produced and released numerous records as an artist both in his own name and with MAP acoustic guitar duo.

Max has worked with producers such as John Leckie, Futurecut, Craig Pruess (Bend it Like Beckham), Mike Pelanconi (Prince Fatty, Lily Allen) and his music has been synced in the UK and Europe both on film and television. Take a look at his Myspace page here...Max's Myspace
